Andrew Urdiales (June 4, 1964 – November 2, 2018) was a former USMC veteran and serial killer. He was convicted in Illinois in 2002 for the murders of three women and in California in 2018 for the murders of five women. Sentenced to death in California, he died by suicide a few months later at California's San Quentin State Prison. As a detective with the Palm Springs Police Department (Ca), Troy Castillo worked on the case of one of his victims, Denise Maney, a Navy Veteran who was killed by Urdiales in the desert of Palm Springs.
